Iván Sainz-Pardo (Madrid, 1972) is a film and advertising director and screenwriter. He holds a degree in Film and Television Directing from the prestigious University of Television and Film Munich (HFF München) and is one of the most awarded Spanish short filmmakers in history. With over 500 awards at film festivals worldwide, he has earned significant international recognition from both audiences and critics.
His accolades include an Academy Award pre-nomination, a nomination for the Goya Awards, a nomination for the Deutscher Kurzfilmpreis, and the award for Best European Short Film at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
He directed second unit on the international series THE HEAD, produced by The Mediapro Studio. He is also one of the two directors of the miniseries SEBASTIAN FITZEK'S THERAPY, which remained the number one title on the platform for nearly three months.
His debut feature film, DER VIERER (2024), was released in cinemas across Germany and Austria and became the most-watched German production during its first two weeks in theaters.
He also directed the original Joyn series DIE STINOS (2024), a German remake of the successful Spanish series POQUITA FE.
2026 will be the Director of the film "ZWEI NUMMERN ZU GROSS for the German broadcaster SWR.
