She has written songs for winners of international productions of The Voice, as well as English lyrics for contemporary standards in French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish, including Alejandro Sanz' 2002 "Quisiera Ser" Grammy duet performance with Destiny's Child.

She is a native New Yorker and graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University, with a BA in Oriental Studies, Chinese Arts & Language, and studied jazz piano with Tony Aless (Woody Herman, Charlie Parker) and Nathan Davis, Professor of Jazz Studies, University of Pittsburgh.

Roxanne is a two-time Emmy nominee. She has written main-title, end-credit, on-camera, feature and source songs for Film/TV including Stuart Little 2, Spike Lee's Get On The Bus, Bruce Weber's Academy-nominated Chet Baker documentary Let's Get Lost, The Greatest Ears In Town: The Arif Mardin Story, and foreign box office hits in France, Mainland China and Hong Kong.

In 1982, soon after the doors to China opened for American visitors, Roxanne spent three weeks travelling through Mainland China. Upon returning, she met Billie Hughes and their partnership set in motion a 17-year career of recording, producing and songwriting for film, television and records. Their first record, "Walking On The Chinese Wall" by Philip Bailey produced by Phil Collins, was inspired by her experience walking on the Great Wall of China.

In 1991, "Welcome To The Edge" by Billie Hughes, co-written and produced by Roxanne, was featured in a FujiTV Japan prime time drama, selling 520,000 singles. "Welcome To The Edge" was awarded #1 International Single of the Year in Japan, also receiving the Japan Gold Disc Award. Starting October 8, 2019, the TV drama series "Mou Daremo Aisenai" was rebroadcast on TVK, Tokyo, generating renewed response from fans.

Roxanne's activity in the Chinese market expanded in 2010 with the release of five hit songs written for Jacky Cheung's multi-platinum "Private Corner" album, followed by numerous Chinese artist recordings. In March 2020, her song "Qui Con Me/Ni De Se Cai" was performed by the Chinese bel canto group Super Vocal in Chinese and Italian on Hunan TV's "Singer 2020" to 40 million views in 24 hours. Her song "Double Trouble" is a big production number in the Jacky Cheung 60+ stadium show touring across Asia since 2023 and "Compromise" is in Chen Linong's stadium tour, which opened December 2024 touring China. Collaborating with Fansheng Gao, her songs are in two streaming series, one that premiered on iQIYI January 22, 2025.

Roxanne Seeman is a co-producer of the 2018 Broadway productions "To Kill A Mockingbird" play by Aaron Sorkin starring Jeff Daniels, and "The Waverly Gallery" by Kenneth Lonergan starring Elaine May.

She is a member of The Motion Picture Academy, the Recording Academy and the Television Academy.
