Biography

Lee reluctantly appeared in a few of the short films written and directed by her daughter - not fond of being on screen, but happy to help Ella make her projects. She also appears, alongside Ella's dad, as background in the first feature film where Ella has a lead role: "Chosen Family," which was written by, directed by and stars Heather Graham.

Lee started competitive swimming at age 7 and was a scholarship swimmer at the University of Miami. She was hit by a car while riding her bike to campus the summer before senior year and broke her back. She recovered slowly, but well, as the underdog returning to the season-ending conference championships who turned out a victory over competitors she'd never beaten before.
