- Sandeep Patil was born on August 18, 1956 in Bombay, State of Bombay, India. He is an actor, known for Kabhi Ajnabi Thé (1985), Dombivli Return (2019) and 1983 Cricket World Cup (1983).
- Played Test match cricket (1979 - 1985) and One day international cricket for India between 1980 - 1986. He played first class cricket between 1975 - 1993.
- India, Bombay, Madhya Pradesh and West Zone were among the cricket teams he represented as a player.
- He went on to coach the Indian national team and the 'A' Team. He was considerably successful coaching the national Kenyan team in the 2003 Cricket World cup, after they reached the semi-finals. In 2006 he became coach of the Oman cricket team.
- Father of actor Chirag Patil.
- Was part Indian cricket team which created history by winning the 1983 world cup.
