Biography

Fresh off a co-star in season 1 of the new Bosch spin off Ballard (2025), lead of the upcoming feature Vigilance (2026), and member of the ensemble in upcoming feature These Little Ones Perish (2026), Caleb Short is a former philosophy of human nature and film double major at Bard College and Oxford University. Caleb, an actor since the age of 5 and raised in Austin, Texas, came to New York City (his birthplace) and trained at HB Studio. Caleb first won a Best Actor award for his portrayal of Howie in David Lindsey- Abaire's 'Rabbit Hole' in Regional competitions of Texas UIL Theatre (1/3d of Texas). He won Best Actor for A Night in Bridge (2023), at the 2024 Paris Film Awards and New York True Venture Film Festival. Caleb takes deep pride in losing himself in a character, like losing touch with the body in an ocean, and finding the soulful complexity of characters who are on the edge... or on land... or in the sea.
