Cedric Nicolas-Troyan was born on March 9, 1969 in Talence, Gironde, France. He is a director and producer, known for Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Kate (2021) and The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016). He has been married to Sue Troyan since July 25, 2002. They have one child.

2007-2009 Member and Director of the animation/visual effects studio and creative collective Psyop.

Brother of Gael Nicolas.

Was a Commanding Officer in the French Military from 1989 to 1991.

Became an American Citizen in 2016. Has dual citizenship .

Took is Wife last name when he married Sue Troyan in 2002 . While the French authority will not allow him to take his wife Name officially he used it as an aka until 2016 when he became an American citizen and was able to change his name officially to Cedric Nicolas-Troyan.
