Austin J. Lawrence, at a young age had the opportunity to walk on the set of Zach Snyder’s "Man of Steel" for the Smallville sequences being filmed in Plano Illinois.
He later would move to the south being surrounded by local productions such as the Hunger Games, Jurassic World, and Marvel films. On the set of NCIS New Orleans he would receive advice from his mentor Gordon Lonsdale (ASC) to seek an education in film from BYU. Austin would go on to pitch and direct a project for BYU which would win him his first National Television Academy Award and a Telly Award for the film "Thanksgiving".
Although originally from Chicago Illinois, and having lived in the South, he spends most of his time between Utah and Southern California as a director and actor. Austin is passionate about exploring new creative opportunities and strives to tell stories that have a positive impact on audiences around the world.
