Raymond van der Kaaij is a Dutch born film producer and founder of Revolver Amsterdam who brings over 15 years of experience in development, financing, production, and distribution to the global film community. His production company focuses on feature films, documentaries, and mixed media projects that push boundaries while remaining socially relevant. In 2025 he co-founded Lief Entertainment company for brand entertainment.
Raymond's international perspective has shaped his career, working on projects across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. With dozens of fiction and non-fiction films under his belt, his notable projects as producer or co-producer include I Dream in Another Language (2017), which captured the Audience Award at Sundance Film Festival, Don't Swallow My Heart, Alligator Girl (2017) which premiered at Sundance the same year, and Whit Stillman's Love & Friendship (2018).
In recent years, Raymond has produced or co-produced several significant projects: When the Light Breaks (2023), directed by Runar Runarsson, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival. His work on Eami (2022) won the prestigious Tiger Award at IFFR, while his executive producer role on the experimental The Human Surge 3 (Locarno 2023 International Competition) and co-producer position on sci-fi feature Electric Child (Locarno 2024 Piazza Grande) demonstrate his versatility across genres and formats. The Occupant, a supernatural thriller, premiered at SXSW and was released in US, UK, and many other territories.
