Ettore Sottsass Jr.
Architect and designer, (Innsbruck, 14 September 1917 - Milan, 31 December 2007). Graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin in 1939, he began his activity in Milan, where in 1947 he opened his own design studio, a field in which he worked, almost exclusively, from 1958. He was an eclectic and multi-faceted designer, architect, urban planner and painter , traveler, photographer. His artistic, ethical and existential research brought him into contact with Rationalism, the Concrete Art Movement, Spatialism, Pop culture.
