- Julio Frade was born on January 31, 1943 in Montevideo, Uruguay. He was an actor and director, known for Decalegrón (1977), Hiperhumor (1984) and Telecataplum (1963). He died on September 19, 2025 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
- When he was studying law at school (Derecho y Notariado), he won a scholarship of the American Field Service which allowed him to live and study in New York, where he graduated as bachelor at age seventeen.
- He was also director of Canal 5 TV Nacional del Uruguay.
- In 2012, he was appointed Ciudadano Ilustre de la Ciudad de Montevideo (Honorable Citizen of the city of Montevideo).
- Studied piano from age four.
- He began his professional career at the age of fourteen and joined the Peña de Jazz and the Jazz Circle.
