Biography

Jackie Paladino

Mini bio

  • Jackie Paladino was born Jacqueline Noel Paladino in Staten Island, New York, to Lawrence Paladino, a business owner in the printing industry, and Susan Paladino, a stay-at-home mother. Her father is of Italian descent and her mother is of Italian, Middle Eastern, and Irish descent.

Jackie's early performing ambitions leaned toward classical piano. She was rather shy until she became interested in acting via middle school productions, and she attended performing arts high school for music theatre in Bridgewater, New Jersey, while simultaneously taking rigorous academic courses at her home high school in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. She made her off-Broadway debut as a senior in high school, as the leading role Wendla in Spring's Awakening.

Her passion for music and acting extended, leading her to admission to NYU Tisch School of the Arts for Drama, with a focus in music theatre. In addition to sharpening her acting, singing, and dance skills, she began singing with jazz bands and experimenting with songwriting. She dropped out to pursue a music career and started releasing music in 2013. Frustrated from pounding the pavement with little financial return from her art, she decided to return to school and to her acting pursuits. In 2018 she performed the lead role, Sara, in her second off-Broadway production "A Family Christmas Reunion" at The Davenport Theatre, and in 2019 she combined her passions for music and acting as the character Aradia, an up and coming singer songwriter in the feature film "Lea."
