Elsie Nemlin is a British filmmaker, writer, producer, director, actress, presenter and commentator based in London. She is the founder of May Filmworks, an independent production company dedicated to socially conscious films and documentaries exploring contemporary issues affecting Britain and beyond.
A former charity CEO with an MBA and a BA (Hons) in Film, Elsie combines filmmaking with writing, public speaking and presenting. Her work often explores themes including social justice, community, immigration, family, housing, knife crime and faith.
Alongside filmmaking, Elsie is developing her career as a mature actress and commercial model. She made her acting debut in Beneath the Pew and has also worked as a presenter, interviewer and event host.
She is also the creator and editor of Lens & Mood, a series of short essays (available on Amazon) and commentaries exploring current affairs through what she describes as "the lens of common sense."
