Regina Dias is a Brazilian film editor whose career bridges the transition from analog film editing to digital non-linear systems. Trained at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), she began working in cinema in the late 1970s, initially editing on moviola before moving through U-Matic, Betacam, Avid, and Final Cut. She worked as a teaching assistant in film editing and television at ECA-USP and collaborated as an assistant editor on major Brazilian feature films. For over two decades, she established her career as a film editor in advertising at Companhia de Cinema, one of Brazil’s leading production companies. Dias is a member of the Brazilian Society of Cinematography (ABC) and an honorary member of the São Paulo Association of Film Editors (AMC). In recent years, she has maintained an active online presence dedicated to film editing, Brazilian cinema, and audiovisual memory.
