Biography

Wera Paintner was born on March 2, 1933 in Leipzig, Germany. She is an actress, known for Hans Beimler, Kamerad (1969), Feuerwache 09 (1991) and Police Call 110 (1971). She was previously married to Detlev Blanke and Wolfgang Dehler.

Daughter of actress Ruth Trumpp and actor Martin Flörchinger. Married to actor Wolfgang Dehler. Their son Thomas Dehler is also an actor.

Also known as 'Vera Blanke', she has published several books about Esperanto-language terminology.

From 1967 to 1971, she worked as a lecturer at the Staatliche Schauspielschule Berlin (where she had previously studied),.

After graduating in 1951 in Schondorf, Bavaria, she worked as a technician at Bavaria Film before applying to study theatre at the Staatliche Schauspielschule Berlin (known today as the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts).

She made her theatre-debut at the age of six, as a child actor at a theatre in Bochum.
