Alejandro Reza began his career as an actor. He graduated from the Centro Universitario de Teatro (CUT) of the Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM).
He also studied theater direction with Ludwik Margules, Juan José Gurrola and directed various plays for theater to good critical acclaim.
Later he moved to London, where he continued his studies in direction.
After some years working as an actor and director almost exclusively in theater, he began his journey in casting direction for movies.
In a career lasting over three decades he has casted over one hundred movies and TV series.
In 2024, Alejandro Reza has been invited to be part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Likewise, thanks to his work in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", Alejandro has been nominated for
the Best Casting category for a series at the 2024 Emmy Awards.
