Biography

Oswaldo López Dantés is a Mexican-born motion picture editor based in Vancouver, BC. Interspersed between feature documentaries, Oswaldo edits narrative short films, music videos, and web commercials for internationally recognized companies and emerging filmmakers alike.

Recent credits include Treasure of the Rice Terraces, a feature documentary directed by Kent Donguines and nominated for Best Picture Editing at the 2025 DGC Awards, where Oswaldo served as an additional editor. He also edited Little Booms, a short drama directed by Rachel Rose and starring Sarah Desjardins (Yellowjackets, Tron: Ares), which premiered at the Aesthetica Short Film Festival.

As a collaborative storyteller across genres and formats, Oswaldo brings his full creative self to every project. Guided by empathy and a strong sense of narrative structure, he works to support his collaborators’ vision and shape stories in the edit that leave a lasting impact on audiences.
