Hanif Soroori

Hanif Soroori is an Iranian cinema and theater director and executive producer. He has dedicated his career to cinema and performing arts, contributing to the production of several notable works. One of the key highlights of his professional journey has been his long-term collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Dariush Mehrjui, where he worked as an assistant director, assistant stage manager, and assistant producer. His career took a decisive turn with the production of Rookery (2014-2015), directed by Pejman Teymortash, marking his first independent production and establishing him as a capable producer. In 2017-2018, Soroori played a central role in the documentary New Wave, directed by Ahmad Talebinejad, serving as host and executive producer. Through this project, he collaborated with prominent Iranian directors including Dariush Mehrjui, Asghar Farhadi, Bahman Farmanara, Kianoush Ayari, Parviz Shahbazi, and Shahram Mokri, further solidifying his position within the cinema and theater community.
