Fátima Lianes (Spain, 1977) is an international award winning director, producer, and writer. Her work has largely been shaped by international investigative documentary projects and filming in conflict zones. She focuses on the human impact of inequality, political violence, trauma, and memory, as well as on power structures, organized crime, and human rights. Her recent work includes Making Peace, The 8 of Iraq, Dying Earth, and Culiacanazo: Heirs of the Narco, for broadcasters such as Al Jazeera English, Movistar Plus+, or Max.
