Freya Ridings was born on April 19, 1994 in Enfield, London, England, UK. She is a music artist and actress, known for After (2019), Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken (2023) and Batwoman (2019).

Attended The BRIT School in London where many of her idols such as Adele and Amy Winehouse had been former alumni.

Daughter of British actor Richard Ridings and Norwegian-born Cathy Jansen-Ridings.

Her 2019 music video "You Mean the World to Me" was directed by Lena Headey and featured Maisie Williams, both Game of Thrones (2011) veterans.

Attributes much of her success as an artist to her dyslexic condition because, being unable to learn other singers' songs or read music, she found she functioned best when left to her own personal musical explorations on her piano.

"Lost Without You", her 2017 debut single, made such an impact worldwide Taylor Swift reportedly added it to her Apple Music playlist. It was was also chosen as record of the week on Scott Mills' BBC Radio 1 show.
