Andrés Botero is a Colombian cinematographer from Cali, currently based in Prague. He is known for his collaboration with director Ruth Caudeli on "Second Star on the Right" (2019), which won the Audience Choice Award at the Boston LGBTQ Film Festival and was nominated for Best International Feature at the Inside Out Toronto LGBTQ Film Festival; "Leading Ladies" (2021), nominated for Best Ibero-American Film at the Málaga Film Festival; and "Petit Mal" (2022), nominated for the Maguey Award for Best Feature Film at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.
He was also the cinematographer of "Al ritmo del agua" (2023), directed by Felipe Bernal.
Alongside his work in feature films, Botero works across short films, music videos, and commercial projects. His recent work includes "First Day", directed by Nikulas Tumi, which was selected for the Talent Demo at Camerimage.
