(May 26, 2017) Married his girlfriend of 6 months Joy-Anna Forsyth following a 2-month-long engagement. The pair, who got engaged just a few months after announcing their courtship on the special episode of Counting On: Jinger's Wedding in November 2016, were friends for 15 years before entering into a courtship.

He and his wife Joy-Anna Forsyth had lost their second child to miscarriage at 20 weeks gestation. They named their stillborn daughter Annabell Elise.

Father, with wife Joy-Anna Forsyth of children a son Gideon Martyn Forsyth (b. February 23, 2018) and a daughter Evelyn Mae Forsyth (b. August 19, 2020).
