Biography

Hailing from Waukesha, Wisconsin, he initially worked in advertising. However, in his spare time, he created more than 50 inventions. He went on to become an entertainer, showcasing his marvelous (if not particularly practical) creations.

"Professor" Oakes specialized in mirth making, on national radio networks, in television, in the long-running Paramount's "Popular Science" movie shorts, and during hundreds of personal appearances.
