Akash Beri was born in 1996 in Southampton, England. When he was seven, his father purchased the family's very first camcorder, which Akash quickly hijacked to create stop motion films with his action figures. This fascination with film persisted throughout college, though he eventually dropped his A-level in Film Studies, citing a fear of unemployment after graduation.
Instead, he studied History (BA) at the University of Exeter, moving to London to work in Public Relations full-time. Within three weeks, he knew he'd made a colossal mistake. It was during this time that Akash rekindled his passion for film, acquiring a digital camera and shooting whatever he could. Once his year-long contract elapsed, he moved back home to study an MA in Post-Production at Solent University, committed to a career as an editor.
After graduation, Akash once again moved back to London, this time as a film editor.
