Biography

Dr. Phillip Ahn, MD. holds a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He and his brother Eun both trained under their father Grand Master Sung Kie Ahn. both have over 30 years of training experience and over 20 years of teaching experience.

Besides practicing he enjoys teaching many people. He has also taught athletes from the Chicago Black Hawks and others.

Besides martial arts, Phillip is very active in the field of medicine. He can cause and heal severe injuries. This job gave him the opportunity to travel the world and help people everywhere.

Phillip is not an actor by profession, but by starring as Shang Tsung in the Mortal kombat 2 video game, he gained fame with younger people. Phillip also wrote and directed a movie.

Ahn, together with Katalin Zamiar (Kitana & Mileena in MKII) and Elizabeth Malecki (Sonya in Mortal Kombat), filed a lawsuit against Midway Games over lack of royalties for the home ports of the game, a case in which Midway emerged victorious.

He was replaced by John Turk as Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 3.
