Amna was born in Pakistan and brought up in a small town in Yorkshire called, Barnsley. She has played cricket throughout the age group at Barnsley Cricket Club in the Boys team and has featured in the Yorkshire age group sides before making the move to Derbyshire to represent the first team. Away from the playing sides of cricket Amna spent a lot of her hours volunteering in Barnsley and Yorkshire and was recognised by achieving Volunteer of the year awards at the OSCA's.
Progressing through volunteering and attending university studying Sports Business Management in Leeds Amna did an internship with Yorkshire County Cricket Club as a Student Marketing Ambassador and from then has been involved in cricket by being appointed at Leicestershire County Cricket Club & Rutland Cricket (LRC) in July, 2015.
