  • Kris Mrksa is one of Australia's leading screenwriters, working across Australia and the UK. His latest project with Werner Film Productions and 60Forty Films, Last Seen, is set to make its global debut on Apple TV+ in September 2026.

    Previously, Kris created, wrote and executive produced the supernatural thriller Requiem for BBC and Netflix, and the hit crime dramas The Murders at White House Farm and Protection for ITV, as well as creating, writing and executive producing the high concept thriller No Escape for Paramount+, adapted from Lucy Clarke's novel The Blue.

    In his native Australia, Kris has amassed numerous writing credits including Glitch, The Secret Life of Us, Underbelly 2: A Tale of Two Cities, Underbelly 3: The Golden Mile, Devil's Dust, East West 101 and The Slap, which was nominated for a BAFTA and an International Emmy. Kris's work has been recognised with many prizes and awards including two AFIs, three AWGIEs and the NSW Premiers Literary Award.
