Jackson Coates is a writer and director whose films have won awards at SXSW, the Seattle International Film Festival, and the All American High School Film Festival. Coates graduated from DePaul University, where he received the Undergraduate Faculty Award and the Voice and Vision Award at the university's annual showcase for his film "Romeo & Juliet".
