Sophia Dunn-Walker is a director and actor, and an Emmy-winning producer. She founded and co-owns Enkidu International Productions with her brother Kip. From an early age, Sophia had a vivid imagination, and was very interested in sci-fi and fantasy. This interest was fostered by her parents and their careers. Dunn-Walker spent many summers in France with her extended family, where she developed an early interest in the French language. French filmmaking would also have a deep impact on young Sophia.
Born with a genetic condition called familial cone dystrophy, Sophia and the school system struggled with the complexity of her condition. The experience of living with her disability gave Sophia a deep empathy for others living with disabilities and the challenges they go through. She is a life-long advocate for people with disabilities.
After obtaining her BA from Reed College in Directing for Theatre and French Literature, Sophia moved to Paris where she was offered a job at the historic Mona Bismarck American Center. While in Paris, she also worked for Good Chance Theatre, an organization that works with refugees and promotes language exchange and expression through the arts. She signed as an actor and model with the talent and modeling agency black code and studied at Cours Florent and with Jack Waltzer. Dunn-Walker has modeled for designer brands like Fenty and appeared in British Vogue.
