Darrel Leon Pullie is an award-winning American actor, filmmaker, director, writer, and content creator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With more than a decade of experience in the film and entertainment industry, Darrel is known for his passion for storytelling, filmmaking, and creating opportunities for diverse voices in the industry.
Darrel graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County in 2024 and currently attends Point Park University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Arts through the Conservatory of Performing Arts. He is expected to graduate in 2028.
As a filmmaker and director, Darrel has written, directed, produced, and worked on numerous independent film projects. His original short film "Until We Meet Again" has earned recognition at film festivals, including multiple Best Drama awards, establishing Darrel as an emerging award-winning filmmaker. The film is set to premiere on the official Pullie Productions YouTube channel on November 9, 2026.
Darrel is also the founder of Pullie Productions, an independent film production company dedicated to bringing original stories and creative projects to life. Under the company, he continues to develop narrative films, fan films, and other cinematic projects, guided by the company’s philosophy of "Pulling Cinema Forward."
Among his most ambitious projects is the Star Wars fan film "The Fallen Apprentice," which Darrel has spent several years developing and bringing to completion. The film is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in late 2026 or early 2027.
Outside of filmmaking, Darrel is the creator of the popular YouTube channel "Darrel’s Wonderland," which has grown to more than 17,000 subscribers. The channel focuses primarily on Star Wars "What If" scenarios, fan fiction, and imaginative storytelling, allowing Darrel to combine his love of cinema, writing, editing, and the Star Wars universe.
Darrel has also appeared in projects including "American Deadbeats," "The Mayor of Kingstown," and "Inside The Filmmakers’ Studio," in which he portrayed Joseph Lipton under the direction of Joey Travolta.
To further develop his craft, Darrel participated in the Joey Travolta Film Camp from 2015 to 2020 and trained at the Ensemble Actors’ Studio in Acting 101 and Acting for the Camera under acting instructor Jamie Slavinsky.
In addition to his work as a filmmaker and actor, Darrel is professionally represented by The Talent Group in Pittsburgh.
