Marcel Lim

Marcel is a Filipino production designer based in Gold Coast, Australia, originally from Cebu. With a background spanning graphic design, photography, illustration, and both traditional and digital art, he brings a rich visual language to his work. He is most known for Viv's Silly Mango (2022), his first professional credit as a production designer, which earned a nomination for Best Production Design - Short Film at the 2023 APDG Awards. Marcel's approach is rooted in story, character, and world-building, with a strong focus on the psychology of space-how a character's history and circumstances shape the environments they inhabit.
