Kylie Mungenast's acute concentration on directing the actor, her revisionist approach to classical genre, and her post-feminist gaze stand among the notable stylistic traits of her filmography. Rooted in a contemporary San Francisco underground cinema space, Kylie's work embodies a bold transgression of lesbian pulp while exploring personal interiority and queer isolation. Mungenast received her BFA in filmmaking at the University of Tampa College of Arts and Letters, and her MFA in filmmaking at California College of the Arts.
