Simmran Bedi

Simran Bedi is a globally experienced Executive Producer, media entrepreneur, and cultural storyteller whose work spans Singapore, India, the UK, and Los Angeles. She is known for championing Asian representation and producing narratives with global impact.
She served as Executive Producer on the critically acclaimed Hollywood feature Hotel Mumbai (starring Dev Patel and Armie Hammer, directed by Anthony Maras) and the award-winning sci-fi short Cognition, directed by Ravi Ajit Chopra and starring BAFTA winner Andrew Scott.
Simran also Executive Produced Ahisma - Gandhi: The Power of the Powerless, a widely celebrated documentary that premiered at the United Nations in New York and received the Global Peace Award. The film features the anthem "Ahimsa" performed by A.R. Rahman, Bono, and U2, and has won Best Documentary at several international festivals.
Her recent projects include Orang Ikan, a feature film directed by Mike Wiluan, and the hit UK true crime podcast Criminal Connection, produced in collaboration with British actor and producer Terry Stone. The podcast quickly rose to become one of the most streamed in its genre.
Simran co-founded Causeway Media Production Pte Ltd in Singapore with Joseph Newton Cohen and Gopal Pillay, leading international co-productions. She previously served as a local producer for Pinewood Studios Malaysia before the pandemic disrupted global production activity.
She has been a member of the Fundraising Committee for the Singapore International Film Festival (Sfiff) since 2018, and was the youngest appointee to the Board of Trustees of the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), under the Government of India.
Simran began her career as Director at Media TransAsia India Ltd., overseeing 25+ lifestyle and in-flight publications. She is also Co-founder of Beetroot Investments Pte Ltd and a Partner at Kimura Capital LLP in London, advising on content strategy through its division, Kimura Performance.
