Paul Stewart(LVII)

Paul Stewart is the son of Scottish 'Formula 1' World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart. Born in Dumbarton (Scotland), Paul's childhood was marked by his father's racing successes which propelled the family to fame and fortune. In turn Paul developed a passion and skill for racing and had success over the years. However, each rung higher up the motorsport ladder, the competition was much tougher and 'Formula 1' would prove elusive as a driver. With a sideways step, solely into management with his 'Paul Stewart Racing' team, eventually that 'Formula 1' dream would be achieved. With the Stewart family help, 1997 was the launch of the 'Stewart Grand Prix' team. With a smartly designed car, a Tartan livery, good business partners and a strong Stewart family presence, this an ambition accomplished. Paul stayed with the team when 'Ford' bought the team at the end of 1999, which became 'Jaguar Racing' for the 2000 season.

Unfortunately Paul was diagnosed with a health issue and stepped down as Chief Operating Officer for 'Jaguar Racing'. Now in remission Paul is an occasional visitor to the 'Formula 1' paddock these days.
