Shaira Yasmin Berg

Shaira Yasmin Berg is a British actress, writer, and producer of Indian and European descent, known for her innovative work across film, television, and theatre. She is best recognised for her Off-West End award-nominated play Gaslight (2024), which she wrote, produced, and starred in, now being adapted for the screen. Her career spans major TV and film projects with BBC, ITV Studios, and Amazon Studios. Shaira's writing debut, American Fantasy (2018), earned critical acclaim for its unique storytelling. Alongside her creative work, Shaira received a PhD in Psychology from the University of Cambridge focusing on behavioural neuroscience in collaboration with multi-BAFTA award-winning studio Ninja Theory, merging neuroscience with cinematic storytelling to explore mental health.
