Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Kyoko Scholiers is a Belgian film and theatre writer / director and actress based in Antwerp. She graduated from theatre school (Studio Herman Teirlinck, Antwerp) and did filmstudies at KASKA later. She worked in Belgium, the Netherlands and France as a writer, director and performer. With Ruth Becquart, Kyoko created the art installation 'Letter', which won the Dutch Dioraphte prize. Her raw and poetic theater work (such as 'Misconnected' and 'Boy') is touring internationally in theaters, festivals and operas. Kyoko's first short film 'Koffie in Lourdes' (Coffee at Lourdes), produced by A Private View and starring Jan Bijvoet (Borgman, The Broken Circle Breakdown), Junior Mthombeni and Sofie Decleir (Wil, De Dag), had its premiere at Kortfilmfestival Leuven 2025, where it won the Audience Award. At Tournai Ramdam Festival 2026 the film won the award for Best Short Film.
