Zamboanga in 2004 Philippine elections.
Sustained a broken rib when he fell into an 11-foot-deep manhole
covered with a thin concrete slab on his way to the Batasang Pambasa
(House of Congress in the Philippines) in March of 2006. He was
hospitalized for weeks.
