Jay has been in the film industry since 2016, when he and a few locals wrote and produced their first short film, Those Guys. He then took a short break from filming to pursue other interests. However, this changed in 2017, when he and some of his friends filmed another comedy short, Overkill. This film led him to directing and acting in over 17 films in just over four years.
