Biography

Jaroslaw Kaczynski is a Polish politician. As a child, he and his twin brother starred in the film O dwóch takich, co ukradli ksiezyc (1962). He co-founded the political party Prawo i Sprawiedliwosc in 2001 and has served as its president since 2003. Kaczynski was the Prime Minister of Poland from 2006 to 2007. Throughout his career, Kaczynski has been a central figure in Polish politics, known for his conservative views and significant influence on the country's direction.

Accepted the invitation of his party to become Prime Minister of Poland, following the resignation of Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz, on 8 July 2006. This has been the first time in history that a country's Prime Minister and President were twins.

Is currently leader of the Law and Justice Party in Poland, the largest opposition party in the Sejm (Poland's parliament). His twin brother, Lech Kaczynski was Poland's president, elected in October 2005, who died in an airplane crash in April 2010.
