Jani Viswanath is an entrepreneur, humanitarian, artist, writer, and film producer whose work bridges philanthropy, creativity, and social impact. Born into a traditional South Indian family, she spent much of her childhood in Kabul, Afghanistan, an experience that shaped her global outlook and deep appreciation for diverse cultures and communities. Having lived and worked across Europe, the Far East, and the Middle East, she describes herself as a "global gypsy" united by one belief humanity.
After a successful career spanning more than two decades in brand development, buying, and retail, Viswanath stepped away from the corporate world to dedicate herself to humanitarian work and creative pursuits. She is the founder of Healing Lives, a nonprofit focused on education and empowerment for underprivileged communities. She also serves as a board member of the Moran Blind School in Assam and as an advisor to the Indian Blind Football Federation.
A self-taught artist known for her palette-knife oil paintings, Viswanath is also an author whose writings explore themes of compassion, hope, kindness, and human connection. Fluent in six languages, she has long been passionate about connecting with people across cultures through storytelling, art, and service.
Expanding her creative journey into cinema, Viswanath has been involved in film production and is known for projects including Wild Swans, Rainbow Fields, and Jwlwi - The Seed. Her work continues to reflect her commitment to meaningful storytelling, cultural understanding, and positive social change.
