  • Over the years, Agusta has established herself as a leading director and editor, having worked on award-winning features and documentaries, as well as tv commercials and shows.

    Her work, in fact, has won a number of prestigious awards including an Eddan (the Icelandic equivalent of an Oscar) in 2015 for the film Impact, which she wrote, directed, edited, and produced. She also won a Mobius award for an NBC Olympics commercial she directed and edited.

    Agusta's work has premiered at film festivals all over the world. At the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival, for instance, the feature The Owls, which she produced and edited, was a finalist. At Sundance in 2009, the highly regarded documentary Why We Laugh: Black Comedians on Black Comedy directed by Robert Townsend and edited by Agusta was hugely popular. And at Canada's ReelWorld Film Festival, the film was awarded Best Documentary.

    Her most recent film is the acclaimed 2019 documentary, Quarter Milestones: A History of Motorcycle Drag Racing, which Agusta directed and edited.
