Biography

Dorothea Jones is an Irish actress known for her work on both Screen and Stage. She was born in Dublin and raised in the west of Ireland, and trained in Drama and Theatre Studies, graduating with first-class honours before continuing professional screen and stage training in the UK. Jones has appeared in a range of independent and international productions, including the Ken Loach feature film Jimmy’s Hall, as well as multiple award-winning short films. Her screen work has received international recognition, including a Best Acting Duo award at the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles and Best Cast honours at the Alternative Film Festival.

Her theatre work includes leading and multi-role performances in contemporary and experimental productions, where she is noted for her emotionally precise, psychologically driven character work. Based between London and Ireland and working internationally, Dorothea Jones is drawn to character-led drama, psychological thrillers, and socially engaged storytelling.
