Biography

Steve Brown, an American screenwriter, was born Stephen Mark Brown on May 3, 1979. Born in Phoenix, Ariz., he is the son of Robert and Marianne Brown. He went to high school at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Ariz. Then he graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in both Journalism and English. In 2004 he completed UCLA's Professional Program in Screenwriting with Hal Ackerman. Having completed several spec screenplays and TV pilots, he has received quarterfinalist/semifinalist/winner recognition in such competitions as the Nicholl Fellowship (2005), American Accolades (2005), Louisville International Film Festival (2018), and the Los Angeles Film Awards (2018).
