- Nico was born in Canada of Italian descent. In 2019 he was cast in the film Sabado (2019). The film earned six awards in the Gawad Sining Awards including a Best Actor award for Locco. Locco became the first foreigner to win the award in the said organization and the first foreigner to win a Best Actor award in a Philippine-based film competition. He has since become one of the most popular actors in the Philippines starring in films such as Sandwich (2023) , Afam (2023) and Manyak (2023)
