Monika Dalman, CDC, is a Canadian-American Casting Director based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Since 2018, she has cast more than 130 film, television, and commercial productions across Canada, the United States, and internationally.
Her work spans feature films, television, documentaries, animation, children’s programming, commercials, video games, independent film, and digital series. She has worked across SAG-AFTRA, UBCP/ACTRA, ACTRA and non-union productions, with projects filming in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, London, Istanbul, Hawaii, Ireland, Romania, The Cayman Islands, and Alaska.
Dalman’s feature credits include Othermor, starring Troy Baker and Yasmeen Fletcher; A Most Delightful Game, directed by Boman Modine and starring Ruby Modine and Richard Harmon; Send the Rain, starring Erika Prevost and Dylan Playfair; Venari; The Art of Romance; Mongrels; The Live In; and Memoria.
Her documentary and public broadcasting work includes the National Film Board of Canada features The Garden Where Flowers Grew and Nakabingwit: First Comes Love, as well as programming for CBC Kids, TVOkids, Knowledge Network, and the BBC.
Productions she has cast have received Leo Awards, Youth Media Alliance Awards of Excellence, and a Golden Sheaf Award.
Dalman has also cast narrative video game projects for Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Neill Blomkamp and has worked on projects associated with Telefilm Canada, the Canada Council for the Arts, the National Film Board of Canada, Creative BC, Historica Canada, Marvel/Disney, and Ghetto Film School.
Her casting practice is particularly known for extensive talent outreach, including work with young performers, emerging actors, culturally specific casting, and performers outside traditional agency channels. She leads a four-person casting team with associates in Vancouver, Toronto, NYC, and Kelowna.
