- Yung Lean's real name, Jonatan Leandoer Håstad, was partly inspired by the character Jonatan in Astrid Lindgren's The Brothers Lionheart. His 2025 album Jonatan opens with audio from the film adaptation of the story.
- Yung Lean's appearance in The Myth of the Ferret (2017) was directed by Marcus Söderlund, who had previously directed Lean's music video for "Yoshi City" (2014).
