Biography

Andrew R. Jones is known for Avatar (2009), The Jungle Book (2016) and I, Robot (2004).

Andy and elementary school friend, Greg Shapiro, both won an Oscar in the same year for two different films. They were reunited at the nominee's luncheon.

As an VFX animator on his first feature film, "Titanic", Andy was asked to animation supervise 30 shots of the sinking sequence.

After animation supervising for Sakguchi's film "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within", Andy was handed the director reigns for the animated short film "Final Flight of the Osiris" - one of nine short films on the DVD release of "The Animatrix".
