- Never lose control of your creative journey on a project like I did on one of my first plays The Usual Auntijies when the director clashed with the subject and lacked understanding of the South Asian women's refuge setting, instead compared it to Shakespeare with no explanation why and then he simply left me with a half baked version of my play for all to watch and critique.
