- Rachel Bex joined a children's Saturday theatre school at the age of ten and continued attending until she was seventeen. During this time, she completed her LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) solo acting exams. In 2015, Bex achieved a distinction in her Grade 8, Gold Medal exam.
During her time studying acting at Gateshead College, from 2015 to 2017, Bex performed in musicals for amateur dramatic companies, student films, and short films.
She went to University to study for her Musical Theatre Degree in 2017 to 2020. In her first year, she studied stage combat with 'True Edge' to get her BADC Foundation certificate and six months later, completed her Standard Certification with 'Northern Forge' in York, UK, where she achieved a distinction.
Bex's first professional acting job was during her last year of University. It was the 2019 Christmas performance of 'The Snow Queen' at Northern Stage. Directed by Mark Calvert, she played an ensemble member and was the understudy for the lead female role, Gerda. This experience solidified for her that this was the career she wanted to pursue.

- When she was thirteen in 2011, she began working at a Saturday theatre school as the classroom assistant for the three preschool classes (aged two to four years), and taught the classes from the ages of eighteen to twenty-one.
