Quamé Hamlin is an emerging writer-director. He is a Cine Qua Non fellow, PAGE Awards finalist, and Showtime Tony Cox Screenplay Competition finalist. His work has received international recognition and screened at multiple Academy Award-qualifying festivals.
With an MS from Johns Hopkins University, an MFA from American University, and a BS from Norfolk State University, Quamé has worked with a number of revered companies and organizations over the course of his career.
His film, Recovery Chain, premiered at HBO's Urbanworld and was selected as a finalist for the HBO Short Film Award at the American Black Film Festival. Quamé is developing the screenplay for his feature film, Park Kidz, which earned him a selection for the Reykjavik Talent Lab.
Quamé's work, filled with familial themes, often highlights America's underrepresented groups and interrogates cultural identity.
