Charlie Shepard (Joseph Mckelheer, THE HAMILTONS) is a modern day faith healer, a man who claims that if you let go and believe, then his power to heal is very real indeed. Living hand-to-mouth with his young son and wife Rebecca (Jessie Ward, REST STOP: DONÂ’T LOOK BACK), Charlie ekes out a meager living from his "healing" sessions in a small Alaskan town. With his marriage failing, and an old drinking habit coming back to haunt him, his family is brutally murdered by unknown assailants for seemingly no reason whatsoever.

Six months later, Charlie has abandoned his former life and the house his family lived in, moving through the days' slow existence more like a ghost than a man. Even local fish and game man Mitch (veteran actor Ed Lauter, THE LONGEST YARD, SEABISCUIT) canÂ’t seem to break through CharlieÂ’s intense desolation, further arousing his own curiosity with this broken manÂ’s plight.

Then, a young, mysterious girl named Sarah (Courtney Halverson) appears in town, and seeks out Charlie, pleading for help with her own grief-stricken father after her motherÂ’s death. ItÂ’s here on CharlieÂ’s journey to SarahÂ’s remote home, buried deep in the Alaskan wilderness, where he must eventually confront SarahÂ’s troubled brother Luke (Cory Knauf, THE HAMILTONS) -- a dark journey that will ultimately reveal the truth of his familyÂ’s killings and lead to tragic, violent consequences for all.

Directed by award winning filmmaker Robert Saitzyk (AFTER THE FLOOD) GODSPEED is a tightly wound, stylish thriller that explores the limits of humanity on the edges of the Last Frontier.

Godspeed (2009)

Houston King most recently produced THE SAND CASTLE Matty Brown's debut starring Nadine Labaki, Ziad Bakri, Zain Al Rafeea and Riman Al Rafeea as well as THERE THERE by Andrew Bujalski with Jason Schwartzman, Lili Taylor, Molly Gordon and Lennie James distributed by Magnolia. He also produced HEARTS BEAT LOUD by Brett Haley starring Nick Offerman and Kiersey Clemons as well as Andrew Bujalski's SUPPORT THE GIRLS starring Regina Hall which received Gotham award nominations for Best Screenplay as well as Best Actress and a Spirit Nomination for Best Actress for Regina. In 2017, he produced THE HERO and LEMON which were released by The Orchard and Magnolia respectively as well as executive produced the documentary THE REAGAN SHOW which was broadcast on CNN. He also produced "RESULTS" starring Guy Pearce, Cobie Smulders and Kevin Corrigan directed by Andrew Bujalski, which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and was released by Magnolia Pictures. He also executive produced "Anesthesia" starring Sam Waterson, Glen Close and Kristen Stewart directed by Tim Blake Nelson, which premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival and was released by IFC Films. Houston has distributed, sold and/or produced all of Andrew Bujalski's prior features, as well as produced the films "The Beautiful Game," "Godspeed," "Beeswax," "Computer Chess" and "The Trip." In addition, he has licensed and/or managed the theatrical distribution of approximately 60 other films as well as managed the outreach campaign for the documentary "Bully." Before entering the movie business, Houston worked in international corporate finance for Lehman Brothers and ING Barings and graduated from Boston University.
